San Fransisco, California. A place not all that different from other big cities on the west coast. Except, it was raining. Why was it raining? Wasn't California supposed to be all fun-in-the-sun?
Despite this, Jameson still found himself wanting to be outside. Hailing from Jersey, he was used to weather kind of like this. A little water didn't faze him anymore. Especially not if it had such a nice, warm breeze along with it. Actually, it was kind of nice. It fit his personality quite well tonight. Dark, dismal, controversial and soaked to the bone. Exactly why there was a fask of rum in his pocket right now.
This tour just started, and already Jamie was ready to just give up. He didn't want to be out touring again. That's all Zero Percent ever did, it seemed. They even put out an album while playing shows. No stopping for a nice break. They were expected to do it all. At once. Oh, and smile throughout it, as well. He didn't know about the rest of the band, but this frontman really was finding it hard to handle.
He headed out of the tour bus, through the drizzle towards the city park. It wasn't far off, which was nice. Just a few blocks of walking and he found himself sitting on a swing in absolute silence. Just him, the rusted gym equipment and the warm rain. Oh, let's not forget that liquor, as well. The moment he sat, it was open and touching his lips. Slipping down his throat to comfort those lost feelings. It also kind of warmed up his body a bit. Through the rain wasn't exactly freezing, it was still nice to not be chilled at all.
The swings were a bit creaky. Kind of spooky in a way. For some reason, this brought a simple smile to Jamie's lips. It made him feel like he wasn't alone. Even thoguh he was.... Which was kind of awful, really. There were always people around him. Always, without fail. But he'd made the mistake of going off alone this time. And now he was wishing he hadn't.
Taking another large gulp from the flask, the singer pulled out his Sidekick. Number one speed dial had been Kylee for the last ten years. She was his best friend. And he knew if he called her right now, she'd drop everything and get her butt over here. He didn't even bother with a call, though. Instead, he quickly shot her a text saying 'City park. I got booze.' She'd come, she always did. That's why she was his best friend.
